Raffaele Cavaliere was born in Sambiase (Catanzaro), Italy on 25.01.1938. He graduated in Law from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1962. He was admitted to practice in Italy as an Avvocato in 1964 and since 1980 he has been admitted to practice before the Superior Courts of the Republic of Italy. He has been a member of the Provincial Tax Commission of Rome since 1973 and Vice-President since 1996.

Francesco Cavaliere was born in Rome, Italy on 23.04.1971. He graduated in Law with first class honours from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1994. He was admitted to practice as an Avvocato in Italy in 1998 and as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2001 although he currently practices in Italy in his sole capacity as an Italian Avvocato.

Over the past few years Francesco has attended courses and seminars on international legal matters in various universities and institutions, including the London School of Economics and Political Science in London, The College of Law in London, the Boston University, in Boston, Massachusetts, the University Institute of European Studies and the International Labour Organization, both in Turin, Italy.

From September 1999 to March 2000 Francesco joined as a visiting attorney the London office of the international law firm Coudert Brothers, assisting the resident attorneys with corporate and finance matters relating to Italy and Italian Law.

Pierluigi Scilinguo was born in Belvedere Marittimo (Cosenza), Italy on 11.07.1963. He graduated in Law from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1987. He was admitted to practice in Italy as an Avvocato in 1993.

Elisabetta Zuccari was born in Marano Equo (Roma), Italy on 25.05.1942. She graduated in Law from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1968. She has been admitted to practice in Italy as an Avvocato since 1998 and she is also admitted to practice before the Juvenile Courts of the Republic of Italy. Teacher of Law and Economics at higher education Institutes from 1969 to 1990.

Francesca Romana Podiani was born in Rome, Italy on 24.10.1973. She graduated in Law from the University of Rome, Tor Vergata in 2003 and has recently obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the same institution. She was admitted to practice in Italy as an Avvocato in 2007.

Francesca has attended various seminars and conferences on a variety of legal topics, including the International Criminal Court and Privacy Law and also acts as a correspondent lawyer for a law firm in Vibo Valentia.

In July 2007 Stephanie graduated at the Alfrink College in The Netherlands obtaining her HAVO diploma which is also known as Higher General Secondary Education (HGSE).

In September 2008 Stephanie obtained a “Propedeuse”, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law atThe Hague University in The Hague, The Netherlands.

In November 2008 Stephanie completed a Professional Mediation Course at the companyBBMO in The Netherlands and obtained a Certificate. She is qualified to assist in mediation procedures under the supervision of a professional mediator.

Stephanie is currently in her third year of studies at the The Hague University in The Hague, The Netherlands and is now following an internship program at C&C for a period of 10 months, which is part of her studies.

Stephanie speaks fluently Dutch, English and Italian.

Carmen Sofo was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy on 3.10.1973. She is head of administrative/support staff at C&C.

In addition, Carmen is in charge of client relations as well as marketing and business development matters.

Born September 1, 1984 in Northwest Michigan, USA, Erica Chippi attended high school in Petoskey, MI - USA, earning a scholarship from the Michigan Press Association and an internship with the Petoskey News Review, Northern Michigan’s daily local newspaper for two years. Erica was later hired as a full time reporter, and wrote on and off for 3 years while attending college.

In 2006, upon finishing a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan, Erica worked for the last 10 months as legal assistant to a city attorney outside of Detroit, MI, and later decided to marry her passion for and fascination with the media with a desire to learn and practice law: She will be attending law school for Intellectual Property in Fall of 2008 at Chicago-Kent College of Law, in Chicago, IL - USA.

Meanwhile, her career aspirations and personal goals have lead Erica to Rome, where she has interned with C&C under an international internship program regularly run by the firm throughout the year. As Communications Specialist, Erica assists the resident lawyers with international matters and coordinates the firm’s communication strategy.

Michele Manente was born in Venice, Italy on 05.04.1974. He graduated in Law from theUniversity of Padua in 1997 and in 2001 was admitted to practice as an Avvocato in Italy. He currently practices in Treviso, Italy  where he maintains his own law firm Studio Legale Manente.

Michele has authored several articles on Tax Law matters in the legal journal “Il Fisco” (Wolters Kluwer Group) and has recently edited a book on Private International Law relating to foreign individuals and business entities operating and doing business in Italy:“Lo straniero nei contratti. Tavole Sinottiche di Diritto Internazionale Privato”.

Michele’s main areas of practice include: Company Law, Private International Law, Commercial and Civil Contracts, Arbitration, Trusts, Real Estate and Tax Law.

Michele advises the resident lawyers at C&C in relation to the areas of law of his practice and interest. In addition, he also co-operates with a notary’s firm in Italy in relation to legal matters having notarial implications as well as a law firm in Germany in relation to Italy-Germany legal matters.

Michele is a member of the Bar Association of Treviso. He is also a member and cofounder of the Arbitration Chamber of Triveneto and the Italian TRUST Society.

Leigh Toomey was born in Queensland, Australia on 18.03.1972. At the University of Queensland she completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1993 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1996, graduating in law with a University Medal and first class honours. Leigh subsequently completed the LLM at Yale Law School in New Haven, Connecticut, USA in 1999, focusing on Constitutional Law and International Human Rights Law. Leigh is admitted to practice as a Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, and as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

From September 1999 to September 2000 Leigh worked as an Associate in the Banking and Finance Department of Coudert Brothers in London; and she has authored various articles on Banking and Finance matters.

Leigh is not admitted to practice in Italy. She advises the resident lawyers on international matters.

Giuseppina Fanelli was born in Putignano (Bari), Italy on 17.08.1985. She graduated in Law with first class honours from the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome in October 2009.

In December 2006 Giusy obtained a Certificate in International Tax Law having attended class of Professor W.F.G. Wijnen (International Bureau of Fiscal documentation, Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

In addition to her vocational training with C&C, Giusy is currently enrolled in an internship programme at the Supreme Court of Cassazione in Rome.

Giusy has authored various articles in Civil Procedure topics in several law journals.
